Meet Samuel C. Lee

One of the world’s top esthetic dental ceramists, Samuel C. Lee, CDT, MDC, started his career in Seoul, Korea in 1978. In 1986 he founded his own dental studio in Southern California and in 2001, he graduated from the UCLA Master Dental Ceramic Post Graduate Residency Program and became an adjunct faculty for UCLA. Since then, Sam has gone on to study and train under world-renowned dental masters, become a member of the distinguished Art Oral Society, and serve as a technical advisor for several companies. Sam has also published articles for prominent dental magazines and is a frequent lecturer at numerous dental conferences around the world. Noteworthy accomplishments include being awarded at the 2005 Nobel Biocare World Conference and co-authoring Quintessence Publishings Esthetic Analysis in 2012. Through his remarkable training and experience, Sam has developed a unique concept of esthetic restorations: The California Smile.

My treatment philosophy is to focus not only on restorations, but also on the patient’s emotions. The Emotion of Excellence is not something we give to the patient. It is something we develop together through understanding. It takes the commitment, dedication, and understanding of everyone involved throughout the entire process.

Sam, my friend, your talent and passion are quite unique and it is a pleasure to see your work.

Klaus Muterties

Sam is truly one of the best ceramists that has ever graduated from UCLA. He literally has “World Class” abilities. I highly recommend him as an esthetic dental ceramist to any patient or dentist looking for the best.

Dr. Ed McClaren

Director of UCLA CED

Sam always strives for the best and has the great talent to achieve it. California is really lucky to have him there. I would rather have him here in Europe.

Dr. Jan Hajto

Esthetic Dental Author / Munich, Germany

Sam is someone with both great professional skills and a great personality. His passion for dentistry really raises it to an art form. Everybody can see that he loves what he does. Not only is he one of those very few dental technicians who can perfectly restore teeth, but he can also put a smile on that same face.

Dr. Arndt Happe

Periodontist / Munster, Germany

Dear Sam, it was a great pleasure for me and my family to spend time with you here in Munster and a true inspiration to feel your passion for beautiful teeth. I saw the light in your eyes! You are doing a great job.

Andreas Nolte

Master Ceramist / Munster, Germany

I have known Sam for many years. Throughout our long partnership, his work and dedication always amazes me. Even though our businesses are separated by a great distance, US and Japan, I enjoy working with him and have no problem in communicating with him. He is, by far, the best ceramist I know. I am so lucky to have met him.

Dr. Akio Kojima
